The decision to create Chase Advocate Consulting was out of the unmet need for a true physician advocate in delivering impartial, honest, and comprehensive clinical information and then helping to execute those opportunities.

While the core business is focused on direct physician partnerships, industry-right companies may also find our services helpful. We help identify and match the right doctor with the best company's product based on mutual interest and need. We also provide customized clinical strategies to include clinical research, clinical education and HCP engagement programs.

About Us

Serena Chase, MBA

I've always surrounded myself with physicians and clinical work; it's in my blood. With a degree in Biology, I began my clinical career collaborating with cardiovascular surgeons and anesthesiologists in the healthcare arena to develop disease management and tele-medicine programs. While this experience allowed me to uncover my talent for protocol writing, data-mining, and developing training programs, I realized that actively participating in the operating room and being more directly involved with the surgical aspect of medicine was the next step. With a start-up medical device company, I was hired as a medical device sales representative, allowing me to visit the operating room long and often. This time in the surgical theater allowed the surgeon and me to explore new applications and ideas on how to improve upon patient care and advance medicine to include adipose-derived stem cells, orthobiologics, imaging and ultrasound. I was able to translate these complex concepts gathered in the field and effectively relay them to R&D, board members and sales reps. Subequently, I have developed and implemented interactive, dynamic classroom, digital, and in-the-field training programs for multiple companies and audiences.  With my clinical development experience combined with my strong physician and clinical relationships, I advanced my skills into clinical affairs to include strategizing, developing, implementing and managing clinical trials. Being able to identify the right principle investigator(s) was one of the most important aspects as well as understanding and collaborating with the entire team to ensure the same goal and support always keeping it all within budget and compliant.

After 20 years of working in all of these areas, I realized a few things:

  1. Developing honest, long-lasting relationships with physicians has always come naturally and, from a clinical perspective, I have sort of become the sports agent to physicians.
  2. I continue to find clinical education and professional development very interesting and enjoy the dynamic progression of training. I thrive on creating and delivering relatable, relevant and interactive presentations and programs to all levels.
  3. I lean towards disruptive, innovate products and applications...and people! And have always worked for small, start-up companies. However, working directly for "corporate" can somewhat limit your ideas or inadvertently bias your focus; not to mention the many shifts and acquisition rates in this industry can distract you from some of your favorite relationships.
  4. Figuring out the clinical strategy behind introducing a product or application, whether it be for FDA clearance or gathering evidence based information, is always exciting for me.

For these reasons, I was able to confidently start Chase Advocate Consulting. I relish my physician relationships. And with healthcare reimbursement and innovation restraints starting to negatively impact their business and focus, as well as witnessing first-hand the massive amount of non-surgical activities they have to juggle, physicians need a true physician advocate.

We also believe in working with small, innovate start-up companies with disruptive, game-changing products who need assistance in defining and executing their clinical and surgeon engagement programs.

While we work with a variety of specialties, our focus is mainly on the Plastic/Reconstructive and Ortho/Neuro industries.
